Product details & FAQ
The Alef M1.4 multi-unit system is the finer-thread version of the Alef multi-unit family, designed for screw-retained restorations at the abutment level. As with the M1.6 system, the multi-unit abutment lifts the prosthetic connection above the soft tissue and the angled versions correct the axis of non-parallel implants. This page lists the M1.4 multi-unit abutments as the main items of the system.
Straight multi-unit abutments
Straight abutments (1.4MUA2–1.4MUA5, Ø4.8 mm) are offered with collar heights of 2 to 5 mm.
Angled multi-unit abutments
Angled abutments (Ø4.85 mm) are offered at 17° (1.4MUA172–1.4MUA174, collars 2–4 mm), 30° (1.4MUA302–1.4MUA304, collars 2–4 mm) and 45° (1.4MUA451–1.4MUA453, collars 1–3 mm). Angled multi-unit abutments come with a holder (MUHR).
Components of the system
The M1.4 system also includes sleeves (titanium and plastic), healing abutments, analogs, transfers, screws and digital components (1.4MU prefix). These are sold separately; contact us if you need a complete component list for your case.
Specifications
- Screw thread: M1.4 mm
- Connection: Alef internal hex, Ø3.5 mm platform
- Straight collars: 2–5 mm
- Maximum recommended torque: 35 Ncm for the abutment; 15 Ncm for other multi-unit components
How to choose
Select the abutment type and collar height above. Choose the collar so that the multi-unit platform sits just above the gingiva, and choose the angulation to bring all screw access holes into a usable position. M1.4 and M1.6 parts are not interchangeable, so make sure that all components in one case come from the same system. Torque values are maximum recommendations and should not replace the clinician’s judgment.
